Martin North Hospital’s 44-bed 4NW Medical/Surgical and Urology Unit provides care to patients with kidney disease, high blood pressure and other kidney-related issues. As Clinical Technician on this team, you will find a culture of respect, mutual support and reliability. A caregiver in this position works nights from 6:00PM – 6:30AM. Â
A caregiver who excels in this role will: Â
- Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of an RN, such as taking vital signs and weight, assisting patients with personal care, point of care testing, dressing changes, applying external monitoring devices and removing urinary Foley catheters. Â
- Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to an RN. Â
- Assist with keeping patients’ rooms clean and orderly. Â
- Complete an internal training program within two weeks of hire. Â
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Â
- High School Diploma or GEDÂ
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) upon or within new hire periodÂ
- One year of recent, full-time patient care experience OR nursing student who has completed at least one clinical rotation as part of an accredited nursing school program OR military experience as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) OR additional education/trainingÂ

Physical Requirements:
- Full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity and good eye-hand coordination
- Extensive standing and walking
- Medium Work, exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force rarely and/or 0 to 50 pounds of force occasionally to move objects
- Physical Demand requirements in excess of those for Medium Work
