Weston Hospital’s Intermediate Intensive Care Unit (IMCU) provides care to patients who require a higher level of care than routine, yet not to the intensity of critical care. As an RN on this team, you will help ensure patients receive the attention, resources and education they need during and after treatment.Â
A caregiver in this position works nights from 7:00PM – 7:30AM. Â
A caregiver who excels in this role will: Â
- Provide direct nursing care.Â
- Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans. Â
- Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions. Â
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments.Â
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Â
- Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.Â
- Educate patients and their families. Â Â
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Â
- Graduate from an accredited school of Professional NursingÂ
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)Â
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)Â
- One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experienceÂ
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Â
- Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)Â

Physical Requirements:
- Frequent walking from department to department
- Sitting at a workstation or desk
- Occasional pushing and/or pulling, lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds, such as files, documents and computer printouts
- Finger dexterity and eye/hand coordination to operate a computer keyboard at a moderate skill level
