Responsibilities:
- Supervises employees in daily operations.
- Maintains staffing levels, approves and schedules paid time off and leave requests.
- Provides leadership and training.
- Coordinates and provides orientation and education.
- Analyzes workflow and procedures. Identifies and implements opportunities to improve procedures, processes, speed, quality and effectiveness.
- Ensures cross coverage.
- Develops effective work team. Encourages and supports morale building activities and positive attitudes.
- Communicates with employees and provides orientation on policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Associate’s degree preferred.
Certifications:
- None required.
Complexity of Work:
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
Work Experience:
- Two years as a work leader, team lead or project manager or one year supervisory experience in a related field.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- Requires dexterity sufficient to operate a computer.
- Will require the ability to operate various types of powered material handling equipment.
- Medium Work – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $20.77
Maximum hourly: $31.68
