Our maternal-fetal medicine specialists offer high-risk pregnancy-related services including preconception planning, pregnancy management (primary or consultative) and delivery if patients have an underlying medical condition or an underlying issue with their unborn child. As an Ultrasound Technologist in the Maternal Fetal Medicine office, you will perform ultrasound procedures to assess high-risk mothers and fetuses and to assist the physician in accurately diagnosing diseases or injuries.Â

A caregiver in this position works 8:00AM – 4:30PM. Â

A caregiver who excels in this role will:Â Â

Perform ultrasound procedures to assess high-risk mothers and fetuses and diagnose disease and injury in the Fetal Evaluation Center or at the bedside. Â

Assist Perinatologists in invasive procedures, prepare patients and fill out necessary forms.Â

Recognize indications for and appropriate use of diagnostic equipment. Â

Produce permanent records of ultrasound examinations, prepare preliminary forms and reports of ultrasound findings and present ultrasound findings. Â

Coordinate and assist with tests such as amniocentesis, PUBS ultrasound and other outpatient procedures. Â
Â
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Â Â

Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Â

Registered Dianostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Â
-
RDMS Abdominal (AB) from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Â
-
RDMS Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Â
-
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Â

Working knowledge of computer systems and applications.  Â
