Clinical Engineering (CE) Imaging Technician II

As a Clinical Engineering (CE) Imaging Technician II, you will independently diagnose, repair, calibrate and perform preventive maintenance on ultrasound equipment, portable/fixed x-ray rooms and mammography equipment while supporting assigned systems with minimal vendor support.
A caregiver in this position works 8:00am—5:00pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Analyze system failures of medical imaging systems and perform repairs in accordance with manufacturer protocol within time standards set by service level agreements.

Perform preventive maintenance on complex medical systems and develop preventive maintenance procedures based on site specific requirements incorporating usage and other performance metrics.

Perform incoming inspections of new equipment and complete documentation for CMMS database.

Act as an enterprise resource providing technical expertise on the assigned imaging equipment.

Provide on-the-job cross training to fellow technicians for devices they are trained on.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Associate's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering Technology.

Two years of Cleveland Clinic CE Imaging Tech I experience

OR four years of experience working with X-ray generating equipment, interventional radiology, portable/fixed X-Ray rooms, mammography, Linear Accelerators, CT scanners, MRI machines, Nuclear Medical imaging equipment, or other similar complex medical systems.

Equivalent specialized OR military training may substitute for the degree.

OR High School diploma/GED and four years of CC Clinical Engineering Tech experience OR six years outside experience maintaining and troubleshooting medical equipment OR equipment in a mechanical or electrical technician field and successful completion of a radiological service training program from an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) OR Radiological Service Institute Training (RSTI) equivalent certification

OR Bachelor's degree in Biomedical or Electrical Engineering OR IT technical field and may substitute for the required experience.

Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $30.41
Maximum hourly: $46.38
