Cleveland Clinic is looking for a Physician Leader to oversee our Center of Transplantation. The Center Director will be instrumental in advancing the center’s development into a formal enterprise structure that encompasses all Cleveland Clinic locations, including those in Florida, Abu Dhabi and London. The Cleveland Clinic Transplant Center is renowned for having one of the most extensive transplant programs globally, providing a wide range of adult and pediatric transplantation services.
The Center Director will lead transplant programs and multi-disciplinary teams that spans multiple divisions, departments, and Institutes at the enterprise level. The Center Director is responsible for establishing cross-Institute or cross-market Safety, Quality & Patient Experience (SQPE) goals and for leading research and education efforts in partnership with the Department Chairs. The Center Director will align practice standards across the enterprise and ensure all providers treating the center specific diseases are aligned in clinical care paths and SQPE efforts. The Center Director must be skilled in managing through influence and teambuilding across specialties and professions. The Center Director will report directly to the Chief of Staff. The Center Director will maintain indirect reporting to the Institute Chiefs of other involved specialty areas as applicable.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for aligning a group of multi-professional providers that span multiple departments and or/Institutes across sites of care and markets to provide consistent world class care within a given specialty at an enterprise level.
- Establishes consistent care paths across all markets for patient care that is based in science and designed with input from multi-professional enterprise specialty leaders.
- Leads research and education efforts across all markets in the related area medicine and science, establishing enterprise research focus in conjunction with other leaders such as Department Chairs.
- Ensures practice standards for center are met across all market footprints. Responsible for assisting in adapting care paths to local market environments if necessary.
- Responsible for operational performance regarding patients served and cost management.
- Manages the annual review process in collaboration with Institute Chief and Department or Division Chair. If responsible for annual performance reviews, will ensure input from relevant Department Chairs, Institute Chiefs and Market Vice Chiefs.

Education:
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school or PhD in a related appropriate medical field relevant to role and eligible to be Staff
Languages:

- Ability to travel throughout the health system both domestically and internationally
