Job Responsibilities:
- Manages patient flow by effectively communicating with team members and providers
- Processes patient’s information through electronic medical records and help maintain the operation of the reception records and the clinical areas
- Stocks exam and clinical areas
- Cleans and sterilizes clinical areas
- Conducts pre-testing and special testing for the following:
- Preliminary case history including medical conditions, review of systems and current medications
- Visual acuity (distance and near), auto-refraction, lensometry, tonometry
- Visual field, OCT, topography
- Drop installation-as ordered by provider
- Perform other duties as assigned based on the needs of the practice
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Formal education or training in optometry and/or ophthalmology preferred.

- Good interpersonal relationship skills allow a cohesive environment for co-workers, patients and providers

- Follow safe and proper procedures during the work day

- Perform opening and closing responsibilities as assigned
- Demonstration effective time management and punctuality
Work Experience:
- Minimum of one year in a customer service or patient care related environment.
- Additional formal education or training in optometry and/or ophthalmology or Allied Health Field may substitute for some or all of the stated experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Duties of the job requires standing, walking and sitting as well as reaching, bending stooping
- Use of hands and fingers to control equipment required for testing and prescreening
- Office environment
