You will be responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for caregivers, patients and visitors as well as supporting and enforcing policies and procedures for physical protection of property, building(s) and assets of the facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Patrols internal/external premises.
  • Monitors visitor conduct.
  • Ascertains legitimacy of suspected unauthorized persons.
  • Controls parking and traffic flow and enforces parking regulations.
  • Provides physical restraint against those who endanger staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Provides escort to personnel as appropriate.
  • Unlocks offices and facilities and secure patient valuables.
  • Reports safety, security and/or fire hazards.
  • Responds to requests for assistance from clinic personnel, patients, and visitors.
  • Interviews victims and witnesses in order to complete thorough investigative formal report.
  • Maintains department supplies and equipment.
  • Provides specialized personal protection for visiting dignitaries and VIPs.
  • Maintains professional growth and development.
  • Develops and maintains good relations with patients, visitors, staff and coworkers.
  • Contributes to and supports organizational directives and Clinic goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • None required.

Certifications:

  • Proof of certification for firearm training.
  • State of Florida Class D license required.
  • State of Florida Class G firearms license required.
  • Valid Driver License required.

Work Experience:

  • At least two years’ experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Essential Duties: Patrol internal / external premises. Control and enforce parking and traffic flow. Respond to requests for assistance Documents incidents; follow through with investigative measures.
  • Physical Duties: Requires extensive walking, standing and sitting. Frequent talking and listening when directing or investigating concerns/incidents. Frequent use of the phone, computer, fax machines, company vehicles.
  • Working Conditions: The majority of the time employee will spend commuting between and in the buildings. Potential exposure to blood and blood borne pathogens is minimal while performing inquisitions and interviews. Exposure to chemicals during the course of an investigation may require the use of personal protective equipment.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Proper attire and security accessories.
  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
