As a Pharmacy Technician Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to work directly with patients practicing our ‘Patients First” motto every day. Your duties will include:
• Supporting pharmacy technicians’ success through engagement, fostering relationships, and coordinating onboarding and training.
• Coordinating daily workflows related to technical aspects of pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinates daily workflow of pharmacy technicians and department operations related to technical work
- Maintains and fosters relationships to support the engagement, training, and success of pharmacy technicians
- Manages training plans and schedule, and supports onboarding and training of pharmacy technicians
- Participates in pharmacy technician scheduling, under the direction and supervision of Pharmacy Manager and Assistant Manager
- Contributes on projects teams and supports department continuous improvement processes
- Other duties as assigned
Education:
- High School Diploma/General Educational Development (GED)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician program preferred
Certifications:
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) verified through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
- Upon hire, registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician, Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Trainee with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy. Registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy is required within 6 months.
Complexity of Work:
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Work Experience:
- Two years of experience in a healthcare or related setting required; health-system pharmacy experience strongly preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Typical physical demands include ability to perform the job while standing, reaching, stretching, stooping, and sitting for prolonged times.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer, dispensing functions of the job.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds while walking, stooping, bending and reaching.
- Normal or corrected vision.
- Extensive sitting for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to clearly communicate verbally by phone and in person

- Follows standard precautions using person protective equipment as required.
