As a Pharmacy EBI Analyst II, you will act as a primary resource for the department chair, administrators and regional hospital administration regarding the implementation of data governance tools. You will also coordinate with EBI developers to identify data sourcing and apply business rules in the deployment of dashboards and other BI tools. Level II Analysts also provide guidance and support to level I Analysts.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates the creation of new operational indicators by identifying process improvement opportunities and utilizing disparate data sources to provide timely, accurate and meaningful decision support tools.
  • Utilizes computer skills to maintain complex reporting system essential to providing timely and accurate reporting.
  • Becomes an expert in at least two Cleveland Clinic subject matters, including, but not limited to: patient occupancy, patient experience, operating room utilization, Professional Coding, and physician productivity.
  • Serves as a technical resource in the analysis and evaluation of operations and financial functions of clinical areas as related to utilization management and operational indicator performance.
  • Interprets and presents data analysis results including explanation of statistical and financial techniques used, assumptions made and summary of results.
  • Documents methods and interpretation of results for future reference.
  • Creates summary and detail reports for online dashboards and other platforms for all levels of the Cleveland Clinic utilizing dashboard software.
  • Ensures the quality and data integrity of reports, making improvements and adjustments as needed.
  • Provides guidance to level I Analysts when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field required. 
  • A High School diploma/GED and six years of database development or analytical experience may substitute the work experience and education requirements. 
  • An Associate’s degree and four years of database development or analytical experience may substitute the work experience and education requirements. 
  • A Master’s degree and one year of experience may substitute the work experience requirement.

Certifications:

  • None required.

Complexity of Work:

  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
  • Must have strong computer skills and be proficient with various applications including, Access, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Business Objects and t-SQL programming preferred.
  • Understanding of data warehousing and t-SQL programming.
  • Must have very strong written and verbal skills to communicate complex information to administrative leadership.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to research/trouble shoot problems.

Work Experience:

  • Two year's related experience required. 
  • Experience with Business Objects and t-SQL programming preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information. 
  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.  
  • Ability to work with physical records or operate a computer or other office equipment.  
  • In some locations, ability to travel throughout the hospital system.  
  • In some locations ability to move up to 25 lbs.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. 

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $30.41

Maximum hourly: $46.38

The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
