Cleveland Clinic’s Neurological Institute announces a search for a clinical neuropsychologist with specialization in adult neuropsychology to join our dynamic and growing Neuropsychology section. The successful candidate will join the staff of the Neuropsychology Section at the Cleveland Clinic, which currently consists of 16 neuropsychologists, 2 postdoctoral residents, practicum students, and 13 psychometrists.
This is a clinical position that was created to serve the needs of a new Neurological Institute (NI) hub in Beachwood, OH (a suburb of Cleveland). This new hub will house specialists from nearly all Neurological Institute Centers (e.g., Center for Brain Health, Epilepsy Center, Mellen Center, Center for Neurological Restoration). The neuropsychologist will join this multidisciplinary team of caregivers to provide neuropsychological services for adult patients with a broad range of neurologic conditions, including memory disorders, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, movement disorders, and others. The clinical practice model is based on neuropsychologist interview and interpretation, supported by psychometrist-administered testing. There is an educational component to the position, and the successful applicant may play a role in the supervision of postdoctoral neuropsychology fellows in our APPCN-member program. Other teaching opportunities include supervision of practicum students and teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows in many disciplines. The successful applicant will be eligible for appointment to the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine at a level commensurate with experience. In addition to clinical and educational roles, collaborative research activities may be developed based on applicant interest.
Applicants must have completed a doctoral degree from an APA- or CPA-accredited psychology program, an internship with experience in neuropsychology, and a postdoctoral fellowship with specialization in neuropsychology. Eligibility for licensure in Ohio is essential. Eligibility for or certification by the American Board of Professional Psychology in Clinical Neuropsychology is strongly preferred.
As the largest employer in Northeast Ohio, with over 80,000 caregivers worldwide, the Cleveland Clinic is able to offer outstanding benefits and support for professional development. There is a constant focus on innovation and leadership in healthcare, and the Neurological Institute works closely with the Innovations group at Cleveland Clinic to facilitate the development of new tools and techniques.
Interested parties should submit a letter of interest and an up-to-date CV with your application.
