The organization is consistently ranked nationally and internationally as a leader in healthcare. This position offers a host of support from the buildings + design team including construction, compliance, sustainability, and Fire and Life Safety. Working with these teams collaboratively, you will learn and grow your knowledge in these areas.Â

A caregiver in this position works days, 7:30am—5:00pm. Â

A caregiver who excels in this role will:Â Â

Attract, develop, and engage a multidisciplinary team to conduct building operations and maintenance activities.Â

Coordinate facility programs/projects by inspecting the facility.Â

Develop and implement practices, policies, and procedures in functional areas of the department.Â

Enable leaders to move decision making through the organization to develop caregivers and accomplish unit priorities.Â

Focus and guides facilities leaders and employees in accomplishing work objectives; holding elevated expectations for self and others.Â

Establish systems and processes to attract, develop, engage, and retain talented leaders.Â
-
Create a work environment where people can realize their full potential to meet current and future clinical and business challenges.Â

Determine resource allocation and staffing levels in conjunction with respective leaders.Â

Provide direction on staff and capacity planning to meet current and future department needs.Â

Accountable for the development and monitoring of, and compliance with, the departmental budgets, including capital, operating and construction budgets.Â

Maintain knowledge of applicable statutory, regulatory, and administrative requirements relative to departmental operations and ensure departmental compliance and organizational success.Â
Â
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Â Â

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or related field.Â
-
Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager (CHFM) or Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP) required or ability to obtain within one year.Â

10 years of plant engineering or trade experience in an industrial, commercial or hospital setting inclusive of 5 years managerial experience in a large hospital or applicable plant operations setting.Â

OR 14 years plant engineering or trade experience in an industrial, commercial or hospital setting inclusive of 9 years managerial experience in a large hospital or applicable plant operations setting.Â

Can work with employees, interdepartmental teams, and organizational leadership across the enterprise to effectively complete goals.Â

Exhibits the organization’s mission and values and strives to achieve and sustain Cleveland Clinic Experience.Â

Experience with MS Office, Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and programs associated for tracking with a CMMS system.Â

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Â Â

Master’s degree.Â

Professional Engineer (PE).Â

Physical Requirements:

The position requires extensive sitting and dexterity to perform work on a PC.

The position requires the ability to walk to parts of various hospital campuses, and to stand or sit for extended periods in the completion of assigned duties.

The position requires a valid driver's license and automobile insurance and the ability to drive and/or fly to all Cleveland Clinic facilities including internationally.

The position requires a passport and/or the ability to get a passport within a reasonable time frame.

The position requires the ability to perform occasional lifting of 5 to 15 pounds.

Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $62.91
Maximum hourly: $100.67
