As an Administrative Assistant II in the Hematology and Oncology department, you will perform duties such as scheduling, handling phone calls, greeting patients, and assisting with special projects and management functions. Administrative Assistants are an essential part of Cleveland Clinic’s smooth operation, which allows caregivers to focus on patient care and improves coordination between the nursing team, administrative teams, and providers.  Â
A caregiver in this position works 8:00am – 5:00pm. Â
A caregiver who excels in this role will:Â Â

Manage and prioritize multiple assignments simultaneously and effectively such as acting as a liaison between internal and external customers by greeting customers, answering, and triage phone calls.Â

Administer calendar and schedule management.Â

Compose and prepare a variety of correspondence (e.g., reports, forms, presentation materials, messages, etc.) as required.Â

Provide coverage of other areas such as front end, point of service and registration.Â

Coordinate management functions and assist in special projects.Â
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Â Â

High school diploma or GED.Â

Three years of office experience.Â
-
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point).Â

Completion of on-line Skills Assessment for demonstrated proficiency level.Â

Demonstrate exceptional clerical, communication, and organizational skills.Â
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Â Â

Associate’s degree.Â

Typing proficiency of 45 wpm with accuracy.Â

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods

Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $16.47
Maximum hourly: $23.61
