A caregiver in this position works days/evenings/nights/weekends from 7:00am – 3:30pm.Â
A caregiver who excels in this role will:Â Â

Perform a variety of routine duties related to the cleaning of the kitchen and kitchen equipment, pots, pans, cafeteria pans and serving utensils and cafeteria trays.Â

Comply with established corporate and departmental policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance methods, and safety codes. Â

Demonstrate compliance with licensing, regulatory and accrediting agency provisions as required.Â

Consistently demonstrate appropriate and professional communication behavior toward patients, customers, and coworkers. Â
-
Cooperate with management and peers to promote an environment of teamwork and collaboration.Â
-
Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, and safety standards.Â

Comply with department expectation to use supplied personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.Â

Clean the pot area and inform the department secretary when soap needs to be ordered.Â
-
Operate the dishwasher to ensure all pots, pans, trays and utensils are clean.Â
-
Collect and wash dirty cafeteria trays and deliver clean trays back into service guaranteeing coverage for the lunch period.Â
-
Collect, process and dispose of trash, cans, bottles, and similar debris to be transported to disposal area.Â

Sweep and mop kitchen and cafeteria.Â

Maintain soap and paper towels in hand washing sinks throughout the kitchen.Â

Assist with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.Â
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Â Â

Ability to read and use Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and complete regulatory logs.Â
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Â

High school diploma or GED.Â

One year of experience. Â

Physical Requirements:
- Requires lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Essential physical demands of the job include lifting up to 10 pounds overhead and lifting up to 30 pounds to shoulder or waist height.
- Lifting up to 15 pounds to shoulder and waist height is an essential activity
- Additional essential physical demands include the ability to carry linen, trash and supplies up to 30 pounds and pushing and pulling carts of 40 pounds weight.
- Handling demands include the ability to walk, reach, handle or grasp, and stand
- Squatting and reaching overhead is required frequently. Occasionally, kneeling to clean under beds, sinks, and toilets, twisting and sitting are required.
- The position requires independent decision-making and mental concentration.
