A caregiver in this position works days/evenings/nights/weekends from 11:00AM – 7:30PM. Â

A caregiver who excels in this role will:Â Â

Perform registration and obtain information about demographics, insurance, medical and financial. Â

Cross-train to staff all areas of patient access, such as front desk, admitting office, ED and cash register. Â

Function as a Super User and act as a resource for training of new caregivers. Â

Provide registration and cash collection access in Epic. Â
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Â Â
-
High school diploma or GED and two years of experience in a customer facing role OR an associate’s degree and one year of experience OR a bachelor’s degree. Â

Knowledge of medical terminology sufficient to understand physician orders OR completion of course within one year. Â

Basic PC software application knowledge and ability to use multiple data systems. Â

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.Â
- Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods. Â
- Ability to work with physical records or operate a computer or other office equipment. Â
- In some locations, ability to travel throughout the hospital system. Â
- In some locations ability to move up to 25 lbs.
