Fairview Hospital Heart Center’s major diagnostic services are centralized in the Rini Cardiac Diagnostic Center where procedures performed use advanced electronic equipment, allowing caregivers to assess the cardiovascular system’s structure and functioning and detect conditions that might require additional testing, medical treatment or surgical intervention. Patients may undergo heart catheterization for anticipated blockages, as well as diagnostic evaluations for electrophysiology, heart rhythm abnormalities and vascular conditions. As a member of this team, you will contribute to delivering world-class cardiac care while supporting patients through critical moments in their health journey. Our team provides both inpatient and outpatient care, making a meaningful impact on patients during their most vulnerable times. As Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) in the Cardia Cath Lab, you will provide clinical supervision and unit coordination within the diagnostic and therapeutic service departments providing care to hospitalized patients. With an emphasis on professional development and success, you will encourage caregivers to enhance their skills and the patient's experience through improvement initiatives and incentives.

A caregiver in this role works days from 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Manage the day-to-day operations of ambulatory procedural settings caring for hospitalized patients.

Oversee nursing personnel and patient care providers in procedural settings to ensure quality of care.

Anticipate and resolve patient care issues.
-
Ensure continuity of patient care by actively participating in and facilitating communication and collaboration among and between department staff and other departments re: operational issues.
-
Review major operational patient care issues with Nurse Managers.
-
Provide ongoing clinical evaluation of nurses and other direct and indirect patient care providers on assigned unit/area.
-
Counsel employees on performance issues, administers initial corrective actions, collaborates in monitoring attendance issues.
-
Alert Nurse Manager of significant clinical or other performance issues.
-
Participate in interviewing, selecting and appraising the performance of employees.
-
Monitor the adherence to EEO/AAP goals and guidelines.

Administer Nursing Institute, departmental and CC policies and procedures.

Monitor daily clinical operations of outpatient clinics (patient flow, staffing, supplies, etc.).

Prepare schedule of work assignment assuring adequate coverage on all shifts.

Participate in and supports quality improvement projects, outcomes studies and research initiatives.

Assist in orienting new personnel, continuing education and in-service educational programs.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
-
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
-
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
-
Cath lab experience
-
Three years of clinical experience
-
Strong demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills
