As a Community Pharmacy Technician, you play an essential role in keeping patients safe and comfortable throughout their experience. You will provide distributive pharmacy services, assistance and support for the registered pharmacist. This is a PRN position, with caregivers working rotating shifts from 6:45 a.m. — 3:15 p.m. or 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. or 10:00 a.m. — 6:30 p.m. or 11:45 a.m. — 8:15 p.m., with occasional weekend and holiday shifts
A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Fill medication carts on a daily basis and repackage bulk medications.

Refill and maintain automated dispensing systems.

Answer phones, greet customers, verify insurance and take payments.

Prepare orders and maintain inventory for the pharmacy department.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

High School Diploma or GED
-
Registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician, Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Trainee with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy upon hire

Certified Pharmacy Technician registration upon six months of hire

CPhT through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) after 18 months of hire
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program

Six month of hospital experience

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
