The Cleveland Clinic Department of Pharmacy aspires to provide advanced educational knowledge to prepare Student Pharmacists for their post-graduation goals. As a Pharmacy Intern, you will develop the skills necessary for ensuring proper patient care and support. You will gain hands-on experience in patient consultation, technical functions, medication therapy management, specialty medication services, technology development and quality assurance. A caregiver in this position works day/evening/night/weekend, from 6:00am—10:30pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Review and assess medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential and actual drug related issues.

Recommend formulary alternatives when appropriate.

Compound and prepare medications for delivery to patient care areas.

Provide drug information and education to medical staff and patients.

Communicate with physicians and other clinicians as necessary to facilitate care.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Enrollment in an accredited College of Pharmacy Program meeting education requirements to qualify for an Intern License in the State of Ohio OR international pharmacy experience meeting the requirements to qualify for the Foreign Graduate Pharmacy Intern License

Current State Board of Pharmacy Intern License (PH/INT) before hire
