Responsibilities:
- Directs the activities of the inventory control system, oversees the entry of all data to the system; reviews daily, monthly.
- Assigns tasks to staff and inspects work.
- Utilize management reporting to monitor service levels including inventory turnover and cost of inventory.
- Plan, develop and manage all policies and processes related to inventory control in collaboration with corporate Supply Chain.
- Acts as a resource to user departments related to inventory control systems.
- Participate in development of overall goals and objectives for system materials management.
- Work in collaboration with purchasing/buying to expedite orders, resolve x-items, recalls, stock-outs and repairs.
- Perform all personnel management function including hiring, training, orienting and developing.
- Conducts performance appraisals, initiates promotions, counsels employees and builds an inspired team.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining operational budgets and productivity without compromising patient care.
- Initiates, develops and maintains strong, solid work relationships and teamwork within the department and throughout the facility.
- Interact with internal customers to provide and process information to promptly respond to inquiries, concerns, and requests on materials needs.
- Responsible for collaboration and exchange of information between corporate Supply Chain and his/her entity, and will represent and serve on committees that will enhance the improvement of the delivery of services and products.
- Ensure products are monitored and maintained properly throughout his/her entity, including operating rooms and procedural areas.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related field.
Certifications:
- Must meet all Cleveland Clinic Insurance requirements
- May require appropriate Valid Driver’s License (VDL) to drive box truck.
Complexity of Work:
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience in working with ERP system.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory control functions with responsibility for par levels, purchasing functions, inventory analysis, and usage trends.
- Offset: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and 5 years of related experience.
- 2 years previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience in healthcare supply chain function preferred.
- On-the-Job Training: Six months on-the-job training required to learn specialized surgery components, inventory systems, and departmental policies and procedures.
Physical Requirements:
- Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.
- May require periods of sitting, standing and the ability to walk to various locations throughout the health system to attend meetings.
- Must have normal or corrected vision and be able to clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person.
- Must have own transportation to travel to multiple sites.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $36.80
Maximum hourly: $56.13
