As an Audiologist, you will provide hearing tests and aids using family-centered care and attention. In this role, you will ensure patients have a comfortable, welcoming and inviting experience throughout the whole process. A calm attitude can make a lasting difference in the lives of these patients every day.
A caregiver in this position works days from 8:00AM – 5:00PM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Provide clinical diagnostic and management services for hearing, balance and tinnitus disorders/impairment using family-centered care.
- Provide services in designated clinical space, inpatient hospital space and/or operating room, as needed.
- Document and maintain accurate records for all services provided to patients.
- Complete administrative tasks such as inventory, placing POs, ordering devices and supplies.
- Ensure performance of daily and monthly equipment checks and biological calibrations.
- Participate in resident education as requested.
- Provide direct and indirect supervision of student interns and Au.D students, as requested.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Doctorate in Audiology (AuD)
- Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board license to practice audiology upon hire
- Certificate of Clinical Competence Audiology (CCC-A) by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) within new hire period

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to assist patients with mobility problems.
- Good hand dexterity to manipulate small objects associated with hearing aids, cochlear implants, etc.
- Ability to push carts which carry audiology test equipment.

- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
