As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in ensuring patients receive safe, accurate and timely medication therapy that supports their health and well-being. In this role, you’ll apply your clinical expertise to select, dose, administer and dispense medications appropriately, contributing to the highest standards of patient care. You’ll join a collaborative, team-oriented pharmacy environment where caregivers support one another like family—celebrating successes, hosting potlucks and fostering a positive, inclusive culture. This is a PRN position. A caregiver in this role works various hours.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Provide safe, efficient, patient-centered and evidence-based pharmacy and medication services.
- Ensure the appropriate selection, dosing, administration and dispensing of medication orders.
- Verify medication orders and/or dispense medications accurately according to state and federal regulations.
- Document services in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
- Actively contribute to medication safety initiatives.
- Ensure all pharmacy operations are in compliance with national accreditation standards.
- Educate and train students, residents, other caregivers, and/or patients.
- Provide cost-effective care.
- Be accountable for drug use policy adherence.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- PharmD or Bachelor’s of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy
- Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible for reciprocation in current state within 90 days of hire
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross and completion of a Board of Pharmacy approved course in the administration of immunizations or certification within 90 days of hire for individuals administering immunizations
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within one year of hire for individuals responding to adult or pediatric cardiopulmonary arrest events
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Board Certification
- Completion of a Post-Graduate Year 1 Residency (PGY1), fellowship or two years of relevant post-graduate pharmacy experience
- Post-Graduate Year 2 Residency (PCY2) or relevant experience for Pharmacists in a specialty field
- Prior experience in an inpatient setting

- Typical physical demands include ability to perform the job while standing and walking for prolonged times, approximately 75% of shift and continuously for extended periods of time.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer and dispensing functions of the job; ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Position often includes reaching, stretching, stooping, climbing steps and sitting.
- Must have normal or corrected vision.
- Must have ability to clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person
