Cleveland Clinic Nuclear Medicine Faculty

The Cleveland Clinic Imaging Institute is seeking outstanding Nuclear Radiologists and Nuclear Medicine Physicians to join our dynamic and growing Division of Nuclear Medicine. 

We offer flexible, full-time opportunities including Fully Remote, On-Site (at our Main Campus in Cleveland, Ohio), and Hybrid roles to best fit your lifestyle and professional goals. 

Our division is comprised of ABR and ABNM certified physicians in a high-volume diagnostic practice with an expanding theranostics program.  We are looking for candidates with experience across the full spectrum of nuclear medicine, including a variety of PET tracers, general nuclear medicine imaging, procedures, and radiopharmaceutical therapies.  Ideal candidates should be collegial, self-motivated, and committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. 

Nuclear Radiologists certified through the ABR may have opportunities to rotate in their preferred subspecialty in addition to the nuclear medicine depending on preference.

Position Requirements: 

  • MD/DO degree (or foreign equivalent).
  • Candidates should be Board-certified or Board eligible through the American Board of Nuclear Medicine (ABNM) and/or American Board of Radiology (ABR). 
  • Must be eligible for or hold active medical licenses in Ohio and Florida.
  • Remote opportunities are available from most U.S. states (except California, Colorado, Connecticut, New Jersey, Oklahoma).

Job Responsibilities 

Patient Care 

  • Participate in weekday clinical work while ensuring timely, high-quality clinical care. 
  • High volume of PET including FDG, PSMA, SSTR, and ER exams. 
  • Wide variety of general nuclear medicine exams including pediatric imaging. 
  • On-Site staff rotation covers theranostic and procedural services. 
  • Theranostic services 177Lu,?131I, 223Ra as well as several active clinical trials. 
  • Lymphoscintigraphy injections are performed on most days by on-site staff. 
  • Participation in department and some multidisciplinary conferences. 
  • Occasional late-swing shifts (1pm-9pm) – can be remote at your discretion.   
  • Weekend call roughly every 7-9 weeks with opportunities for compensation time off. 
  • No overnight call!

Research and Scholarship 

  • Research and scholarly endeavors are encouraged but not required. 
  • The department will support researchers and those serving as a willing collaborator in clinical and translational research. 

Education 

  • Provide instruction for the radiology residency by reviewing cases and administering lectures. 
  • Serve as a mentor for residents, fellows, and other faculty in the department.

  • Team members have expertise in radiology, neurology, and cardiology. 
  • We interpret over 50,000 studies annually from ~32 sites across the enterprise. 
  • All sites are networked with MIM, PACS (AGFA EI), voice recognition (Powerscribe 360), and EMR (EPIC).
  • Advanced resources: 7 fixed and 3 mobile PET/CT systems, dedicated SPECT and PET radiopharmacies, and an onsite cyclotron. 
  • Main campus in Cleveland, OH serves as the primary training site for 45 Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology residents, rotating subspecialty radiology fellows, and 1–2 Nuclear Radiology candidates each year.
