As a Driver on our Patient Transport team, you will help create a comfortable and safe environment within your community. In this role, you can enhance the healthcare experience while making a lasting difference in the lives of patients, families and caregivers. A caregiver in this position works varying shifts. This will consist of 8-hour shifts between 7:00AM – 6:00PM, Monday-Friday. The availability to assist with early mornings (4:00AM), late evenings (11:00PM), weekends or holidays will be required, as needed.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Transport personnel, bulk supplies and mail between hospitals and ambulatory sites.

Provide world class customer service and safe and efficient transportation to patients and caregivers.

Maintain a clean and efficient transportation vehicle.
-
Transport individuals to and from the parking lots to requested campus locations.
-
Educate those requesting transportation, providing accurate information for pickup times and locations so there is no miscommunication.

Perform other transports on campus and off-property as required and/or requested.

Perform daily preventative maintenance of assigned vehicle completing maintenance checklists.

Oversee maintenance records and upkeep of multiple company vehicles.

Transport incoming US postal mail and inner-office mail between sites at prearranged and scheduled times.

Follow departmental accident reporting and incident investigation procedures.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

High School Diploma or GED
-
Valid Driver’s License (VDL) with no more than four points on record

Eligibility of insurance as determined by CCF’s insurance carrier’s requirements
-
Meet security clearance for confidential information
-
General computer knowledge
-
Non-smoker
