As an RN in Spine Surgery, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care from initial introduction to final send-off. In this role, you will interact directly with patients, families, and visitors, helping to enhance their overall experience and providing healthcare information. This position will support current and future spine providers within the multi-specialty clinic and will be expected to provide cross coverage for PTO within the Specialty Clinic as needed.

Our Center for Workplace Violence Prevention and Caregiver Well-Being sets caregiver safety as a priority, identifying, reporting and responding to incidents and providing safety resources.
A caregiver in this role works days from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
-
Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
-
Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage and establish care plans.
-
Administer medications and treatments.
-
Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.
-
Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.
-
Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures and specialized patient care equipment.
-
Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families.
-
Facilitate smooth operation of the ambulatory areas.
-
Participate in quality initiatives, process improvements, and research activities to improve patient outcomes, patient experience and patient safety.

Cover other nursing roles within the department.

Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures, as needed.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)
-
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
-
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
-
One year of recent experience as an RN
-
Demonstrated clinical competence
