As a Pharmacy Technician, you will work assist in preparing medications for patients. While you may not interact with patients directly every day, your efforts will make a meaningful difference in their lives and treatments. On this team, you will find an approachable, supportive and open-door policy, with managers prioritizing healthy work-life balance and caregiver wellness.
A caregiver in this position will work primarily between 7:00am and 8:00pm, with 8- or 10-hour shifts. The Twinsburg site is closed on weekends and holidays; weekend work opportunities can be held at the Euclid Ave. facility. This PRN position also supports other sites including our Beachwood, Marymount, Hillcrest and Willoughby facilities.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Refill and maintain automated dispensing systems.
- Fill medications carts daily.
- Prepare orders and maintain inventory for the pharmacy department.
- Repackage bulk medications.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National HealthCareer Association (NHA)
- Registration through the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP) as a Certified Pharmacy Technician, Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Trainee
- Caregivers with active Pharmacy Technician Trainee or Registered Pharmacy Technician registrations are required to update their registration to a Certified Pharmacy Technician registration with the OBOP within 6 months.
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician Training Program
- Six months of hospital experience
