This position requires relocation to Abu Dhabi and is available to New Graduate Nurses trained in the United States. . Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s New Graduate Nurse Residency is a 12-month program designed for new graduate nurses, with less than 6 months of nursing practice experience. The program is designed to prepare them for successful growth into the professional practice of nursing.

Candidates must hold a BSN from a 3 to 4 year accredited nursing program. Accelerated or Associate to BSN not eligible for employment at CCAD.

The innovative structure of the program allows for a smooth transition to the clinical setting through a robust general orientation program which includes 16 weeks of a 1:1 preceptorship, opportunity for a 1:1 voluntary and informal mentorship journey, simulation experiences and professional development courses/sessions.

Eligibility

December 2024 and May 2025 New Graduates with a BSN from an accredited school of nursing program and have less than 6 months of professional nursing experience in a hospital setting.

Residency Details

The New Graduate Nurse Residency Program offers the opportunity for the nurse resident to specialize in their area of interest to include medical/surgical, heart, vascular and thoracic, neurology or oncology specialties through a specialized competency and simulation-based program.

During the 12-month program, graduate nurses will be able to gain the knowledge and skills required to independently care for patients safely and confidently. A supportive team of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi preceptors, nurse educators and leadership team will guide graduates during this transition through individualization of learning plans and continued follow-up on identified learning needs.

New graduate nurses will also benefit from continuing education through Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s monthly Nurse Residency sessions offered by the Nursing Education department on different topics ranging from clinical to leadership skills. These sessions include, but are not limited to analyzing and interpreting ECGs, recognizing and managing deteriorating patients, wellbeing and resilience.
