This position requires relocation to Abu Dhabi. The position is responsible for oversight of quality measurement and improvement activities, and assuming a lead role in facilitating compliance with accreditation standards and licensing regulations, through assessment and monitoring of Nursing practices, processes and systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates, develops and coordinates implementation of core standards of care, policies and procedures

  • Collaborates with Nursing, Allied Health and physician leadership in strategic and operational planning programs

  • Establishes Nursing’s annual performance measurement and improvement plan in collaboration with Nursing Leadership

  • Develops and implements quality monitoring and performance improvement activities

  • Monitors  and publishes metrics to reflect patient care quality efforts

  • Analyzes data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement

  • Ensures that nursing and clinical practice is in accordance with the philosophy, standards and objectives of CCAD and reflective of current best practices

  • Participates in activities related to JCI accreditation, HAAD licensure, Magnet designation and other external bodies

  • Coordinates participation in external quality/safety collaborative projects

  • Serves as a resource within CCAD for Patient Safety issues

  • Assumes a leadership role for Nursing in operating models, supply, equipment and process standardization

  • Organizes and facilitates performance improvement teams

  • Analyzes patient satisfaction results and develops strategies for quality improvement.

  • Obtains quality benchmarks through various sources including, but not limited to national quality associations, disease associations, specialty associations, and Cleveland Clinic institutes

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, or equivalent qualifications (minimum three (3) year curriculum) from an accredited program, is required
  • Master’s degree in Nursing/ Healthcare/Management/ Administration field is required
  • Master’s degree in Nursing/ Healthcare/Management/ Administration field is required

Certifications:

  • Valid and current national license is required

Job Specific Skills

  • Strong technical capability or understanding of clinical data analytics and reporting
  • Knowledge of health care systems, health regulator standards, analysis and evaluation techniques related to quality data measurement
  • Previous experience collaborating with JCI, Department of Health and clinical reporting registries (i.e. STS, ACC, NSQIP)
  • Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment with an orientation to developing solutions
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and polished presentation skills with the ability to present to a variety of levels

  • Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills

  • Proficient in the use of PCs and spreadsheets

Work Experience:

  • Overall experience of fifteen (15) plus years with a minimum of ten (10) years clinical experience post qualification is required data resources management  is required
  • Minimum of five (5) years previous managerial experience is required with demonstrated knowledge and skills in nursing management
  • International accreditation experience is preferred

                                                                                   

Physical Requirements:

  • Typical physical demands include: a high degree of manual dexterity to sufficiently perform computer functions on a keyboard, produce materials on a PC and operate basic office equipment, normal or corrected vision and hearing, operate audiovisual equipment used during training programs, physically move, lift and carry training equipment and materials, mobility sufficient to visit with departments or employees throughout CCAD, stand in front of an audience for up to eight (8) hours a day and lift up to 30 lbs.
