Cleveland Clinic Martin North Hospital is a fully integrated, state-of-the-art medical campus that includes diagnostic centers, outpatient surgery and a 24-hour emergency department. Martin North Hospital is part of the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic, a nonprofit, multispecialty, academic medical center that integrates clinical and hospital care with research and education.
Martin North’s 8-suite Operating Room department handles a large variety of surgical cases, such as general, thoracic, robotics, and cardiovascular. As a Scheduling and Pre-Registration Representative, you will provide a comprehensive set of business, financial and appointment-related services to patients presenting for various services. In this role, you will ensure every caller or visitor feels fully supported, understood and valued throughout the entire registration process. Work with patients and providers directly to guide patient care, supporting scheduling, billing, patient advocacy and empathic interactions.
A caregiver in this role works days from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Perform preregistration for diagnostic testing and surgeries by contacting the patient and completing an accurate interview to obtain demographic, insurance, medical and financial information.

Cross train to staff all areas of the department.

Utilize estimator tool to provide patient with estimate of out-of-pocket expenses for services before date of service.

Contact patients via out bound and inbound calls.

Facilitate problem identification, relay information and resolve problems.

Act as a resource for training of new team members and during the implementation of new processes.

Participate on committees and engage in continuous improvement efforts.

Schedule services and provide physician office/patient with accurate date and time information.

Provide scheduling, registration and cash collection access in Epic.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

High School Diploma/GED
-
Three years of experience in a customer facing role OR Associate’s Degree and two years of experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and one year of experience

Basic PC knowledge
-
Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology sufficient to understand physician orders or completion of a course within one year of hire

One year of experience working with insurance payers or patient registration

Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $16.47
Maximum hourly: $23.61
