Cleveland Clinic understands that keeping up with nutritional needs is essential to staying well. As a Dietary Aide, you help us support patient health by ensuring proper food handling and transportation. In this role, you can gain hands-on experience in a healthcare setting, all while making a difference in the lives of patients every day.
A caregiver in this position works day/evening/night/weekend, 6:00am—8:30pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Perform a variety of duties to ensure proper distribution of prepared foods to patients, cafeteria guests and catered events.

Accurately set up and deliver patient trays and nourishments.
-
Distribute correct portions of food and beverage items.
-
Demonstrate working knowledge of specific therapeutic diets.

Follow department standards and procedures.
-
Utilize and rotate food products, appropriately store leftovers and label and date food items.
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

High School Diploma or GED
-
Six months of experience in food service
