Job Responsibilities:
- To provide technical support in relevant designated discipline(s) including Competent & Authorised Person duties.
- When required, to liaise with specialist sub-contractors and obtain quotes where relevant to do so.
- To identify required materials and liaise with designated suppliers to obtain quotations for approval.
- Responsibility for all works assigned to them, being accountable for the attendance to each task within the SLA and providing any updates in a swift/concise manner, where tasks cannot be completed.
- Effectively communicate to the shift lead, Estates supervisor and Estates & Facilities management team, on any tasks that may have a critical or business impact to CCL.
- Utilisation of the mobile working device, ensuring that all times are captured correctly for each task, alongside providing detailed notes in the comments section.
- To act as an escort for any contractors coming to site, and on behalf the management team
- Provision of quotes, with all costs for materials, being provided to the Supervisor, ready for submission/approval.
- Ensure that all maintenance tasks that are carried out to all building plant, equipment, and systems, meet and exceed expectations, and agreed service level agreements.
- Carry out fault identification/rectification and escalation when required on fabric issues, and M&E systems such as electrical systems, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning issues.
- Plant areas, workshops, stores, changing/rest areas etc. are kept to the highest level of housekeeping
- A high level of initiative, in ensuring that proactive maintenance is undertaken or supported
- Advanced communication skills with a full understanding of customer needs & expectations
- Ability to comprehend and act upon both verbal and written instructions
- To ensure prompt and timely attendance to ensure hand over with previous shift is carried out.
- To carry out shift handovers between prior and next shifts, detailing any site issues.
- To assist in covering shifts for absence/holiday for the opposite shift team.
- Other duties as assigned
Education:
- Completion of a full Apprenticeship programme
- HTM relevant CP Qualification desirable
- HTM relevant AP Qualifications desirable
Certifications:
- Minimum requirement for C&G Level 3 Mechanical or Electrical discipline qualification
- CSCS or relevant Trade Card
- City & Guilds 2391 desirable
Languages:
- Ability to read, speak and write in English is required.
Complexity of Work:
- Ability to lead from the front in times of critical events on site
- Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to priorities workloads
- Ability to work under pressure whilst remaining calm clear thinking and be able to deliver the required services within prescribed time constraint
- Diligent and pro-active
- Ability to prioritise and act on own initiative
- Excellent organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- A flexible approach to work with a willingness to travel would be essential
Work Experience:
- Strong understanding and experience of Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC systems
- Computer literacy with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office or equivalent
- Healthcare and HTM experience advantageous
- Previous experience of CAFM Systems
- Demonstrable experience within a similar position
Physical Requirements:
- Typical physical demands require full body motion including ability to perform work while bending, stooping, and stretching, climbing ladders; requires dexterity and strength sufficient to operate required tools and machinery; typically required to lift and carry machinery and/or equipment weighing 20 kg. And/or assist with lifting weights exceeding 20kg
