As a Human Resources (HR) Generalist, you will support the Director of HR Services in supporting strategies and workforce needs for the Operating Room Main Campus Nursing Division, including PACU, Same Day Surgery, Ambulatory, Anesthesia and others. In this role, you will provide counsel and direction to management in all aspects of HR functions, becoming primarily involved in operational and strategic direction. Ultimately, your work will help further facilitate efficient, compassionate and top-quality care and enhance the patient experience at Cleveland Clinic.
A caregiver in this position works days from 8:00AM — 5:00PM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Act as a confidential advisor on performance management, corrective actions, performance improvement plans, right of reviews and investigations.
- Interpret and advise on policies and programs encompassing all aspects of Human Resource Management to all levels of caregivers.
- Conduct employee investigations and make recommendations to business leaders.
- Provide support in communicating HR Center of Excellence (COE) programs and their implementation to all employees.
- Counsel client groups and facilitate conflict resolutions.
- Support regulatory practices to promote fair and equitable treatment of employees.
- Determine development needs of specific segments of the organization and provide developmental training.
- Provide support in workforce planning, including partnering with talent acquisition and compensation to review requests (e.g., promotions, equity reviews and job reclassifications).
- Monitor compliance with organizational initiatives (e.g., compliance modules, flu, engagement, etc.)
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field and five years of progressive Human Resources experience OR Associate’s Degree and an additional two years of related experience, including project management OR High School Diploma/GED and an additional four years of related experience, including project management
- Knowledge of employment and labor laws (e.g. EEO, FLSA, OSHA, FMLA, ADA, NLRA)
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Human Resources Certification [Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP)]

Physical Requirements:

Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $30.41
Maximum hourly: $46.38
