This position will provide float coverage within the 12 Heart and Vascular Stepdown units.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established healthcare organization policies, procedures, and protocols.
-
Implement and monitor patient care plans.
-
Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
-
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
-
Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
-
Maintain professional growth and development through ongoing formal and informal education and clinical nursing study.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
-
Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
-
Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN).
-
Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA).
-
One year of current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting required for acute care settings.

Will consider licensed military RN experience.
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing).

Experience in the HVI Stepdown.

Physical Requirements:

Medium Work – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
