At Cleveland Clinic Children’s, our team brings expertise to each check-up, test and procedure to ensure every child receives the best possible care. When you join this family of caregivers, you will receive endless support and guidance as you find your place at one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world.

Depression, anxiety and other mental health concerns can hinder the life patients want for themselves. At Cleveland Clinic, caregivers understand these issues are just as real as those that affect the body. Cleveland Clinic offers comprehensive mental health programs, allowing patients to receive the personalized, confidential and judgment-free support they need. As a Behavioral Health Therapist in our School Mental Health Program, you will utilize your specialized clinical knowledge and advanced clinical skills to care for children with various diagnoses, treatment needs and abilities while they attend school. Your work will directly impact their lives as you help them improve their overall well-being both in the classroom and home environment.

This position is fully grant funded by SAMHSA (Expanding Comprehensive School Mental Healthcare grant) through September 2026 with the possibility to extend the position through other funding sources. Training for the first few months will be in Lakewood at our mature school mental health site and also in Garfield Heights. The Mental Health Navigator works closely with doctors, therapists, school counselors, nurses, psychologists and teachers to best support youth and their families. The Mental Health Navigator has a small number of therapy cases but primarily leads the team within their district through triaging referrals, conducting mental health assessments, linking patients to needed services, family and parent coaching, coordinating and facilitating weekly team case discussions, and serving as the “glue” that connects education and clinical services. This position is clinically fast paced with a lot of clinical and administrative variety during the school year. The position has slower periods during holidays and summers for more administrative tasks.
