Facilities Maintenance Technician II

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician II, you will join a team that will provide you with a good foundational knowledge of facilities and maintenance in the healthcare field.
A caregiver in this position works 11:00PM – 7:30AM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, structures and systems.

Perform minor maintenance repair work in electrical, plumbing, HVAS, carpentry and/or paint.

Perform utility and structural repairs.

Document and maintain records of inspection and work performed.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

High school diploma or GED.

Two years of experience in HVAC, general electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting or mechanical repair OR completion of a formal training program in building repair including HVAC, general electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting or mechanical repair OR military experience as a Utilitiesman, Builder, Machinists Mate or a similar role.

Physical Requirements:

Typical physical demands require full body motion including ability to perform work while bending, stooping, stretching and climbing ladders.

Requires dexterity and strength sufficient to operate required tools and machinery; typically required to lift and carry machinery and/or equipment weighing 25 to 100 lbs. and/or assist with lifting weights exceeding 100 lbs.

Requires color acuity sufficient to distinguish color-coded signage and systems.
