As Department Supervisor II of CS/SPD, you will oversee caregivers, acting as a technical resource for the team and initiating goals. Your focus will be on creating a cohesive, collaborative and strong workplace environment where every caregiver can excel in their roles while providing the best patient care possible. You will identify improvement opportunities, monitor progress, offer training as needed and seek ways to enhance the department and Hillcrest Hospital as a whole.
A caregiver in this position works nights from 11:00PM – 7:30AM, with on-call requirements.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Supervise caregivers in daily operations.
- Maintain staffing levels.
- Approve and schedule paid time off and leave requests.
- Provide leadership and training.
- Coordinate and provide orientation and education.
- Analyze workflow and procedures.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve procedures, processes, speed, quality and effectiveness.
- Ensure cross coverage.
- Develop an effective work team.
- Encourage and support morale building activities.
- Communicate with caregivers and provide orientation on policies.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Associate’s Degree and two years of related supervisory experience OR High School Diploma/GED and four years of experience
- Knowledge of supervision, training, development and public relations practices
- Available 24/7 through an issues pager or cell phone
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Healthcare experience in a large organization

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
- Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
- Ability to travel throughout the hospital system
- In some locations, ability to transport up to 25 pounds
- Ability to operate various types of powered material handling equipment.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $22.85
Maximum hourly: $34.85
