As Senior Director of Communications in our Academic Medical Center, you will serve as a leader to ensure complex scientific, innovative and educational information is translated into accessible and engaging content for multiple audiences. Your focus will be on directing your team in creating compelling narratives via numerous communication channels to inform funding agencies of our successes and reputation, attract top talent and initiate fruitful partnerships with industry leaders, donors and the general public. Your work is critical for the facilitation of effective knowledge dissemination, stakeholder engagement and institutional reputation management. A caregiver in this position works days from 8:30AM – 5:30PM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Handle the enterprise -wide strategic communications vision and management of all institutes and divisions under the direction of the CRAO.
- Oversee and/or provide guidance on development of all external and internal communication content developed in CRAO-affiliate institutes
- Liaise with clinical institutes to enhance cross-institute collaborative communications initiatives
- Set objectives and direct initiatives to meet those objectives.
- Provide routine report of progress to division leadership and Executive Team members.
- Set and manage department and FTE budgets.
- Inspire engagement among department and division members.
- Develop management and leadership skills in high potential employees.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Ten or more years of professional and functionally relevant experience, including five years of demonstrated management experience
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Master’s Degree
- Experience working in academic or research environments.
- Experience working on large scale organizational marketing plans

Physical Requirements:
- Requires frequent sitting, standing and walking.

Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $53.90
Maximum hourly: $82.19
