As a Senior Radiology Technician Heart and Vascular, you will work within the Heart Cardiac Catheterization Lab and the Electrophysiology Lab. You will be responsible for performing procedures, properly operating equipment, and recording results in a timely manner.Â
A caregiver in this position works Days + Calls, from 7:00AM—3:30PM. Â
A caregiver who excels in this role will:Â Â

Perform exams as directed by physician to ensure appropriate views of anatomy are taken that will facilitate an accurate diagnosis.Â

Assist physician directly, utilizing sterile technique for all invasive procedures.Â

Prepare patient for diagnostic procedures including pulse assessment and sterile field preparation.Â

Participate in assessment and quality of equipment and daily operational supplies with the department Manager and makes recommendations accordingly.Â

Take emergency call after hours and on weekends when the need for emergent procedures occursÂ

Maintain adequate level of supplies and proficient with inventory management system.Â

Notify appropriate personnel to ensure proper maintenance of equipment.Â

Assist in other areas of Heart and Vascular, if needed, if there is no other work in the designated department.Â

Conduct patient education, screening, and scheduling.Â

Assist with set up and execution of procedures and transportation of patients.Â

Attend continuing education programs and complete mandatory training to maintain licensure, position specific ongoing competencies and professional growth.Â
Â
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Â Â

Successful completion of approved School of Radiologic Technology program.Â

Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R) (ARRT), in good standing.Â

Current state licensure (RL).Â
-
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Â
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Â Â

Certification in Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography: (R)(CV)(ARRT).Â

One or two years of experience as a diagnostic technologist Â

OR one year of experience in special procedures.Â

Physical Requirements:
- Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.
