As a CT Technologist, you play a vital role in ensuring the safety of patients by providing accurate computed tomography imaging. You will perform scans for a high-volume outpatient department. Because of this fast-paced workflow, efficiency and timeliness are essential. A caregiver in this position will work an eight hour shift between 6:30AM and 5:00PM. No weekends required.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Acquire patients chart data/requisition and review both to determine correct room set-up and learn of any specific medical problems and contraindications to the study.
- Verify that the study being ordered correlates to the diagnostic needs.
- Educate patients regarding procedure, equipment and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation.
- Maintain all aspects of the CT area, including the technical and clerical components, to ensure proper quality assurance results and any required documentation.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) (ARRT) in good standing
- Computed Tomography (CT) Certification [R.T.(R) (CT) (ARRT)] within one year of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and related pathologic processes
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist

Physical Requirements:
- Standing and walking for extended periods of time
- Lifting or assisting with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily
