New Grad RNs
Taking that first step on your career journey can be scary and exciting, especially if you’re soon to be a new grad RN stepping out of the classroom and into your career.
Like many new graduate nurses, you’ve learned a lot of skills and theory, and you may also wonder what area of nursing will be the right fit for you. Here at Cleveland Clinic, we have a range of programs to help you grow your confidence and experience and provide you with a solid foundation to build an incredible nursing career.
Success Coach
A designated Success Coach will support and guide you through all your experiences on your way to becoming an exceptional caregiver. They’ll be by your side, encouraging, inspiring and preparing you for career success. With their help, you’ll have the resources to thrive in clinical competency and practice, and be confident in your skills to deliver the best possible care.
Nurse Residency Program
The program allows graduate nurses like you to grow and develop through our one-year program that supports your clinical growth throughout your first year as a caregiver. We offer nine tracks tailored to specific care areas, including Med/Surg and Behavioral Health, Critical Care, Neonatal, Women and Children. This program also features in-person and hands-on training from expert Success Coaches, providing a safe environment to build your confidence and competence.
New Grad RN Talent Community Network
Joining our Talent Community provides you with a valuable connection to our Talent Acquisition team. Once they learn more about what matters most to you, they can help you find the right career fit at Cleveland Clinic and provide the support you need to begin, grow and advance your nursing career.

High School Students
If you’re a high school student, Cleveland Clinic wants to help you learn more about healthcare careers through its Center for Youth and College Education (CYCE). The programs offered by CYCE provide educational and hands-on, real-world experiences to inspire and prepare you to join the healthcare workforce in the future.
We offer several programs that provide a closer look into this rewarding field, as well as a few career opportunities that offer financial flexibility, a strong job outlook, and the opportunity to impact the lives of others — regardless of your education level.

- Job shadowing
- Student Pathways Program that teaches resume writing, interview skills and personal branding
Connected Career Rounds (CCR) sessions provide middle and high school students with career-journey insights from current caregivers at Cleveland Clinic. The sessions also provide valuable information about the depicted careers, such as average income, education requirements, expected 10-year job growth and local education/certification programs. At the end of each live session, students can ask the caregivers questions, furthering their excitement and interest in embarking on a healthcare career.
