As the Supervisor of Pharmacy Operations, you will supervise the daily operations of the Pharmacy's across Florida, such as ambulatory pharmacy workflow, bedside and same-day surgery delivery, hazardous non-sterile compounding, perpetual medication inventory and clinical services such as vaccinations and MTM. The Assistant Manager of Pharmacy Operations plays a major role in optimizing inventory in the pharmacy to reduce operating expenses and increase profitability.
A caregiver in this position will work primarily day shifts from Monday through Friday with no weekend or holiday requirements. Majority of scheduled time will be held at the Florida Research and Innovation Center and will be required to travel across all 5 Florida Cleveland Clinic facilities.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Supervise daily operations of assigned pharmacy.
- Review, analyze, evaluate and assess the technical operations of assigned pharmacy to ensure safe and efficient workflow.
- Coordinate all activities with management team and supervise assigned pharmacy caregivers and the adequate staffing of assigned pharmacy.
- Review, develop and manage management reports to monitor service levels.
- Plan, develop and manage all policies and processes.
- Determine short- and long-term needs and goals as well as assist in the development of budgets for both operating and capital needs and manpower and equipment needs for projects.
- Maintain and foster relationships and serve as a resource for pharmacy personnel and affiliated areas regarding technical pharmacy operations.
- Conduct performance appraisals, initiate promotions, counsel caregivers and process corrective actions.
- Provide manager with timely feedback regarding operational issues.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmaceutical science or a related field
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) verified through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
- Licensed in Florida as a Registered Pharmacy Technician
- Three years of experience in a healthcare or related setting. An additional four years of pharmacy-related experience, including leadership experience, may substitute the bachelor’s degree requirement
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Master’s degree which may offset the experience requirement
- Three years of experience in a healthcare or related setting required; pharmacy experience strongly preferred
- Supervisory/management experience

Physical Requirements:
- Typical physical demands include ability to perform the job while standing, reaching, stretching, stooping, and sitting for prolonged times.
