Cleveland Clinic, one of the world’s most distinguished academic medical centers, is currently seeking a dynamic and collaborative physician leader to serve as Division Chair of Hospital Medicine across our Florida Market. This is an outstanding leadership opportunity within one of the most respected academic medical centers in the world.
The Division Chair will be responsible for leading a team of more than 125 physicians and advanced practice providers delivering high-quality, inpatient care across five hospitals located in Weston, Stuart, Port St. Lucie, and Vero Beach, as well as Cleveland Clinic’s innovative Hospital Care at Home program. This role reports directly to the Chair of the Department of Hospital Medicine and partners with Institute, Hospital, and System leadership to advance clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and team engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic, clinical, and operational leadership across all Florida-based hospital medicine sites.
- Advance quality, safety, patient experience, throughput, and access in alignment with Cleveland Clinic’s mission and the Institute for Hospital Care.
- Oversee faculty recruitment, mentorship, performance management, and Annual Professional Reviews.
- Support and grow programs in education, research, and innovation.
- Collaborate with leaders across Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, Infectious Disease, Anesthesiology, and hospital operations.
- Manage budgets, resource planning, and divisional performance metrics.
Ideal Candidate:
- Board-certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Proven leadership experience in hospital medicine, with strong organizational, communication, and team-building skills
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, education, and innovation in care delivery
