This role is a vital element in the clinic's mission: caring for life, researching for health, & educating those who serve. It encompasses each of these elements and drives the mission for all nurses. In this role, you will act as Site Facilitator for nursing sensitive measurement reporting to the National Database for Nursing Quality Indicators. You will partner with other departments to support and implement best practices to enhance nursing efficiency, quality of patient care, and patient safety.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Facilitate and participate in performance improvement activities for assigned clinical areas.

Collaborate with hospital quality department and nursing leadership to implement actionable items related to nurse-sensitive indicators, hospital quality measures, and compliance issues.

Monitor quality outcomes in nursing and patient safety, conduct data analysis and reviews with Nursing Leadership in assigned clinical area.

Investigate best practices and makes recommendations for implementation into practice.

Conduct unit/institute/hospital level data compliance reviews.
-
Provide real-time, one-on-one feedback to Nursing Leadership and frontline staff related to compliance.

Provide mentorship and educate at unit-based in-services or staff meetings.
-
Develop and disseminate nursing educational material for quality, accreditation, and patient safety.
-
Act as a resource to Nurse Leadership on regulatory agency outcomes such as Joint Commission, CMS, or other industry or professional agencies.

Assist in the development and the adoption of policy and procedure changes related to regulatory standards that affect quality patient care.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN)
-
Registered Nurse (RN) with a license in the current State of employment
-
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)
-
5 years of clinical experience
-
Proficient with understanding metrics related to nursing sensitive outcomes

Proficient in Excel, Power Point, and Word
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Certified Nurse Leader (CNL) or applicable certification
