Pharmacy Technician Specialty Call Center $2500 SIGN ON BONUS

Job Responsibilities:

• This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. Our team is currently on a 50/50 Work At Home arrangement rotating 1 week onsite, then 1 week at home.

  For this role, there's a 6-month probationary period before moving into the work at home arrangement. This means the first 6 months you will be required to be present in office.

• No evenings, holidays, or weekends

• Ensures the accuracy of prescription and patient data entered into various systems by verifying patient, drug, quantities, directions, day’s supply, insurance and physician data.
• Conducts a thorough benefits investigation and processes any necessary prior authorizations and/or appeals for pharmacy claims.
• Explains benefit coverage and financial responsibilities to the patients.  Supplies financial assistance contact information and/or initiates patient assistance and copay assistance applications on behalf of the patients. 
• Resolves aspects of specialty pharmacy insurances, including Medicare, Medicaid, Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBM), and Preferred Provider Organizations (PPO) and communicates with payors and advises patients or physician of results as needed.  
• Communicates with patients in a professional and customer-friendly manner in order to schedule the delivery of new and refilled medications and supplies.
• Utilizes all pharmacy systems to review patient profile, enter changes and establish assessment schedules.
• Documents all patient/client/provider contact in appropriate computer systems.
• Other duties as assigned. 

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent. 
• Completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program preferred.

Certifications:

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) verified through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
• Upon hire, registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician, Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Trainee with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy. Registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy is required within 6 months.

• Ability to effectively communicate both verbal and written information to all administrative levels throughout the organization and with external partners. 
• Ability to work independently and prioritize workload effective.

Work Experience:

• One year of experience in a pharmacy technician role. 

Physical Requirements:

• Typical physical demands include ability to perform the job while standing, reaching, stretching, stooping, and sitting for prolonged times.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer and dispensing functions of the job.
• Ability to lift up to 20pounds while walking, stooping, bending and reaching.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
