Cleveland Clinic's H81 Internal Medicine unit has a wide variety of patients, giving nurses the opportunity to experience caring for many types of illnesses and patients. Known for their exceptional teamwork and helpful attitude, there is always someone here to help and assist when needed. As a Unit Support Assistant, you will maintain a safe, clean, and functional care environment for patients and staff which includes environmental upkeep, transporting patients and supplies, maintaining inventory levels, and supporting clinical staff in a collaborative team-based setting.
A caregiver in this role works evenings from 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Maintain and clean equipment as requested by Registered Nurse.

Perform other transportation functions as required including but not limited to delivery of patient specimens, medical records and patient care equipment.

Collaborate with members of health care team to promote patient care and overall functioning of unit.

Prepare rooms for admissions and discharges.
-
Keep the patient areas neat and uncluttered.

Organize, clean supply rooms and maintain established supply levels.

Requires full range of body motion including handling and frequent patient lifting, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
