As Research Technician II, you will join Dr. Reizes and his team of postdoctoral fellows, graduate students and research students in the study of the most therapeutically challenging triple negative breast and gynecologic cancers. In this role, you will divide your time between research and administrative tasks to support the investigation of cancer stem cells, hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapies and the affects of the microbiome on tumors and chemosensitivity. Your efforts are integral to innovative and exciting developments, and you will receive extensive hands-on training and experience. A caregiver in this position works days from 8:00AM – 4:30PM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Perform laboratory techniques, procedures and technical lab duties required for experimental studies.
- Schedule and perform various analyses.
- Assist with establishing and scheduling various procedures and analyses.
- Prepare reagents, purify chemicals, and identify, separate and quantify various substances.
- Conduct testing and procedures utilizing laboratory equipment/instrumentation and accumulate data from analyses.
- Prepare charts, graphs, statistical tables, publications, grant proposals and applications for research forms.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- High School Diploma or GED and two years of experience in a research or related laboratory environment OR Associate’s Degree in a laboratory science field and one year of work experience OR Bachelor’s Degree
- Comfortable handling animals
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Excellent organization and documentation skills
- Experience with cell biology techniques and basic biochemistry (e.g., cell cultures, protein analysis, molecular biology and in vivo animal studies)

Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $18.88
Maximum hourly: $28.80
