As Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician II, you will perform preventive and corrective equipment, structures and system maintenance throughout the facility. You will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and initial resource for related questions and concerns while assisting the department with fulfilling essential day-to-day operations. Additionally, you will help guide and prioritize workflow within the Machine Shop, where focus lies in fabricating custom metal items for the Cleveland Clinic system. In this role, you will not only gain extensive hands-on experience but also contribute to the enhancement of an innovative healthcare enterprise.
A caregiver in this position works days from 6:30AM – 3:00PM, with occasional weekend requirements.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Serve as a go-to contact within certain projects across the enterprise.
- Ensure policies and procedures are communicated and upheld by staff.
- Monitor department activities and provide coaching and feedback to team members when appropriate.
- Perform routine electrical, plumbing, carpentry and painting maintenance repair work.
- Perform utility and structural repairs alone or in collaboration with internal/external tradespersons as needed.
- Document and maintain records of inspections and work performed pursuant to departmental policies and warranty/vendor requirements.
- Assist co-workers with maintenance-related questions, comments and concerns in a Subject Matter Expert capacity.
- Work across multiple Cleveland Clinic locations as needed.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Two years of work experience in general electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, mechanical repair or HVAC OR completion of a formal training program in Building Repair that includes general electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, maintenance repair or HVAC
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Four years of relevant experience
- Customer service experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Microsoft Office experience
