Clinical Pharmacists play a critical role in the comprehensive treatment of patients at Cleveland Clinic. In this role, you will utilize your education and experience to ensure access to accurate and appropriate pharmaceutical services. A caregiver in this position works varying shifts from 7:00AM – 11:00PM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Provide safe, efficient, patient-centered and evidence-based medication services.
- Verify medication orders and/or dispense medications accurately according to state and federal regulations.
- Document services in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
- Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with national accreditation standards.
- Maintain professional interactions with patients to facilitate successful patient experiences.
- Educate and train students, residents, other caregivers and/or patients.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- PharmD or Bachelor’s of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college of Pharmacy
- Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible within 90 days of hire
- Completion of a post-graduate year 1 residency (PGY1), fellowship or 2 years of relevant post-graduate pharmacy experience

Physical Requirements:
- Working while standing and walking for prolonged times, approximately 75% of shift and continuously for extended periods of time.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer and dispensing functions of the job
- Lifting objects up to 30 pounds
- Reaching, stretching, stooping, climbing steps and sitting
- Normal or corrected vision
- Ability to clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person
