As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital link in moving medications throughout the facility to enhance patient care. You will join a team that empowers every caregiver to make valuable contributions to patient-focused care, teaching and research activities. A caregiver in this position works varying shifts in the range of the operating hours: 8:00am-8:00pm Monday-Thursday and 8:00am-6:00 pm Friday
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

A high school diploma or GED

Upon hire, must hold an active registration as a Registered Pharmacy Technician through the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP).

Registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy is required within 18 months
-
Must obtain a national certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcare Association (NHA) within 18 months

Can perform algebraic calculations necessary for the preparation of extemporaneous compounds
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Six months of hospital experience

Completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program
