As part of the Biomedical Engineering Team, you will direct Vascular Imaging Research, assist with data analysis and management, seek ways to improve prognoses and help with image analysis. While this role primarily focuses on computer-based tasks, you may have the opportunity to interact with patients when needed. A caregiver in this position works days from 8:00AM – 5:00PM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Perform laboratory techniques and procedures required for experimental studies.
- Perform technical lab duties.
- Schedule and perform various analyses.
- Assist with establishing and scheduling various procedures and analyses.
- Prepare reagents, purify chemicals, and identify, separate and quantify various substances.
- Conduct testing and procedures utilizing laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
- Accumulate data from analyses.
- Prepare charts, graphs, statistical tables, publications, grant proposals and applications for research forms.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- High School Diploma/GED and two years of experience in a research or related laboratory environment OR Associate’s Degree in a Laboratory Science field and one year of work experience OR Bachelor’s Degree

Physical Requirements:
- Working in a stationary position for extended periods
- Operating a computer and other office equipment
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
- Ability to distinguish color
- Manual dexterity to handle specimens and repair equipment
- Lifting and transporting equipment or specimens weighing up to 20 pounds
- Some exposure to hazardous chemicals, bio-hazards, radioactive materials, etc.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required
Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $18.88
Maximum hourly: $28.80
