A caregiver in this position works 10:30PM – 7:00AM. Â
A caregiver who excels in this role will:Â Â

Inspect, operate and maintain a high pressure/steam powerhouse, HVAC systems and emergency power and fire protection systems. Â

Monitor and maintain HVAC-related source and distribution equipment such as steam, chilled water, water chemistry, humidification, air handling, etc. Â

Monitor and respond to all fire protection systems. Â
-
Respond to all emergency calls. Â
-
Test and monitor emergency generators and transfer equipment. Â
-
Work at other Cleveland Clinic facilities as needed. Â
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Â Â
-
A high school diploma or GED.Â
-
Third Class Stationary Engineers License from the State of Ohio. Â
-
Five years of experience in steam distribution systems, condensate systems, large chiller systems, water distribution systems, cooling towers and/or air handling systems. Â
-
Military experience as a Machinists Mate (MM), Electric Power Production (3E0X2) or a similar role will be considered. Â

Working knowledge of blueprints and electrical schematics. Â
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Â

Knowledge of fire protection equipment, building automation equipment, emergency generators and controls.Â

- Ability to inspect equipment
- Ability to install, repair and maintain systems, equipment, fixtures and/or structures
- Ability to distinguish color
- Ability to climb ladders
